Amul Cuts Prices of 700 Products, Ghee Becomes ₹40 Cheaper Per Litre; New Rates Effective from September 22

New Delhi, September 20, 2025 – Consumers are set to get some relief on household essentials as Amul has announced a major price cut on more than 700 packaged products, including ghee, butter, ice cream, bakery items, and frozen snacks.

The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets dairy products under the Amul brand, confirmed that the decision follows the recent reduction in GST rates.

According to PTI, the new prices will come into effect from September 22, 2025. In its official statement, GCMMF said the revised price list will ensure that customers directly benefit from the GST reduction.

Among the highlights of this price cut, Amul ghee will be cheaper by ₹40 per litre, giving significant relief to consumers ahead of the festive season. Prices of butter, ice cream, and bakery goods will also see notable reductions.

Industry experts believe this move could increase demand during the upcoming festive period while also boosting consumer confidence.
