Family’s Grief in Sangrur, Punjab

Amanpreet Kaur had been living in Canada for the past four years, working at a local hospital. Her family, who lives in Prem Basti, Sangrur, said they learned about her death from her elder sister, who also lives in Ontario. It was the sister who had first reported Amanpreet missing.

Father’s Heartbreaking Account

Her father, Inderjit Singh, speaking with deep sorrow, said:

  • Her Life in Canada:
“She was doing very well. She had secured a permanent job and was fully settled. She was planning to return home soon after receiving her PR (Permanent Residency).”

  • Last Conversation:
“We last spoke to her on the night of October 20 (India time). After that, she went missing later that evening in Canada.”

  • Marriage Plans:
“She was supposed to visit India soon, and we were preparing for her marriage before she went back.”

Inderjit Singh added that Canadian police have not yet provided the family with detailed updates about the investigation, but they have heard that the suspect has already left Canada.

The grieving family says Amanpreet never mentioned any trouble or distress during her time in Canada and that her sudden, tragic death has left them devastated and searching for answers.
