In a significant operation, the Punjab Police’s Counter Intelligence team in Firozpur has arrested two terrorists linked to a module run by Gurpreet Singh alias Goldy Dhillo, a Germany-based terrorist. The police recovered 2.8 kg of Improvised Explosive Device (IED), 1.6 kg of RDX, and a remote device from the suspects.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Jassa Singh and Manjinder Singh. During the investigation, it was revealed that they had connections with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Both suspects are currently under police remand.
DG Punjab Police Reveals Details
DG Punjab Police, Gaurav Yadav, stated that the Counter Intelligence team in Firozpur apprehended the main operatives of the terrorist module run by Goldy Dhillo. The Punjab Police linked Goldy Dhillo to the gangs of Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi. DG Yadav also mentioned that Pakistan’s ISI was attempting to disrupt peace in the state, but their plans were foiled.
NIA Offers ₹10 Lakh Reward for Goldy Dhillo
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of ₹10 lakh for information leading to the capture of Goldy Dhillo. In this case, the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) in Mohali has registered an FIR under the Explosive Substances Act. The police are investigating the matter in connection with terrorist activities.
